FEATURED EVENT BATTLE OF THE CHEFS COOKING UP A STORM This unique event gave guests the opportunity to taste six delectable dishes from three talented chefs and vote on their favorite food item. Chef Lars I. Lundin of Food by Chef Lars served a smoked salmon mousse that had the first-time food critics raving. Thierry’s Catering’s Chef Vincent Gourmet introduced an autumn potted foie gras praline, which amazed the tasters with its rich flavors and fragrant edible flowers. However, after a close vote, it was Mena Catering’s Executive Chef Benito del Cueto’s Caribbean style shrimp and grits that won over the palates of the guests and named him the winner of this year’s battle. We would like to thank all of our generous sponsors for making another exciting event possible: Wine By The Bay, Birthday Cake Vineyards and Miami Club Rum for the delicious drinks; The Fresh Diet, Le Chocolatier and Edible Arrangements for providing the tasty sweets; Audio One for providing great sound; and A Productions Inc. DJ & Event Lighting for the entertainment. In addition, SFLG would like to thank the event participants who brought along their wonderful gift ideas: Kirks Jewelers, Neox Imaging, Cuba Tobacco Cigar Co. and Tiny Bandits. 1 2 6 4 5 Photosy by Michelle Reyes 1/ Chef Lars I.
