FOOD, WINE &DINE WHITE TRUFFLE SENSATIONS It's that time again. White truffles are back in season and giving local chefs inspiration. J O E Y ' S ITALIAN C A F E Executive Chef Ivo Mazzon looks forward to October, when he receives the bounty of truffles imported from Italy. A few of my favorite fea- tures include, Marinated Scallops served with lime-hon¬ ey gelee and spouts salad roll, Ahi Tuna Tartar on mango puree with a crispy herb wonton and wasabi biscuit, and the Lamb Shank on olives paired with a baked herb polenta. And it doesnt stop there -- their presentation only heightens the flavor combinations. The plates look like an artist's canvas with eye-catching colors dancing across the plate and delicately stacked ingredients. Pair the culinary experience with the location's minimal TOP BRUNCH SPOTS design of blacks and whites and you know this place is all about letting the food shine.
